Yes, they really do hate freedom (Part 3)

Read the first two articles in Mitch Sutton’s three-part series: Part 1, Part 2.

In the previous two parts of this series, I was careful to present only the facts of the recent wave of so-called anti-Semitic terrorism without adding my own speculation as to who the perpetrator might be.

Now that we have gathered the facts about the attacks and the government response, it is possible to make an educated guess on the matter. To my mind, there is only one foreign actor with both the motivation and the capability to wage this kind of foreign influence operation inside Australia without government retaliation. It is, of course, Israel. The circumstantial evidence is so strong that it virtually rules out any other culprit.

First, let us look at intent. Israel has two strong motivations for conducting foreign interference operations in Australia. Firstly, it wants to suppress political discussion in Australia about Israel’s genocide in Gaza from the left, and criticism of Jewish control of the Australian establishment from nationalists. Secondly, it wants the Australian government to provide unquestioning support for its genocide in Gaza, and to take in some of the vast numbers of Arab refugees that will be created when the land is ethnically cleansed and handed to Jewish settlers under the Trump plan.

Jewish organisations have a long history of advocating for restrictions on free speech and political association in Australia. Open discussion is anathema to them, as these groups and certain wealthy Jewish individuals want power without responsibility. They do not want their grossly disproportionate impact on Australia’s political and economic system to be debated by outsiders. What’s more, all of them have strong ties to the state of Israel and explicitly advocate for Israel’s interests. Some operate effectively as unregistered foreign agents, and even run a private security agency inside Australia known as the Community Security Group which has been linked to Australian Jews who go on to join Israel’s intelligence services (as demonstrated in the case of deceased Australian-born Mossad agent Benjamin Zygier).

In the lead-up to the fake terrorism wave, these same Israel-linked Jewish groups were demanding that the government suppress the free speech of pro-Palestine protesters, in the same way that Jews had previously demanded an end to the free speech of nationalist activists. Jewish groups made baseless claims that Palestine activists had chanted “gas the Jews” at a Sydney rally in October 2023, which ended up being completely debunked by the police. They had made similarly frivolous claims while demanding universities crack down on “hate speech” on campus and break up anti-genocide protest camps formed by students.

Unfortunately for the Jewish organisations, the Australian government is mostly run by university educated leftists who were unable to be convinced of the necessity of cracking down on left-coded pro-Palestine protesters.

It was at this point where the alleged anti-Semitic terrorist attacks began. Israel had a demonstrated motive to become involved, in order to assist its unregistered foreign agents in Australia to effect political change that otherwise would not have happened.

Now let us turn to the second motivation – Australia’s position on the Gaza genocide and the possible resettlement of massive numbers of ethnically cleansed Arabs.

Prime Minister Albanese has never provided serious criticism of Israel’s war in Gaza, and consistently refused to call it a genocide. The best that he has done is to reiterate the need for a two-state solution, which has been the position of the Australian Government since Israel’s foundation. The Australian government even temporarily suspended funding to UN relief agency UNRWA at the request of Israel at a time when the IDF was attempting to use starvation as a weapon of war against Gazans.

However, this qualified support was no longer considered by Jews to be a sufficiently Zionist position after October 7, with Western leaders expected to give Israel total and uncritical backing. Albanese has been consistently criticised by Australia’s overwhelmingly Zionist media for supposedly appeasing Hamas and being too equivocal in his support of Israel’s right to commit war crimes. As we will see later in the article, this is also the position of the Israeli Government, which views Albanese as a weak and prevaricating ally who must be pulled into line.

Then there is the looming question of Palestinian resettlement. It appears that Israel is preparing to ethnically cleanse Gaza of its 2.1 million Arabs, and resettle them in the West. The IDF is reportedly enacting a plan to allow large numbers of Palestinians to “voluntarily” leave for third countries – a move which has near unanimous support from the Israeli Government and population. This genocidal proposal also has the full support of US President Donald Trump, so it is hard to see Israel changing course.

As Arab countries have rejected the proposal, Defence Minister Israel Katz made the extraordinary claim that “countries like Spain, Ireland, Norway, and others, which have levelled accusations and false claims against Israel over its actions in Gaza, are legally obligated to allow any Gaza resident to enter their territories”.

As Israel has singled out Australia as a country that is critical of its genocide, we can expect that it too will be added to the list of countries that are “legally obligated” to take massive numbers of Muslim immigrants. The Australian government can be obligated to atone for the crime of allowing Jews to come to harm (the worst of crimes under the “Never Again” paradigm that underpins post-war liberalism) by helping Israel to add more aliens to Australia’s vibrant multiculturalism.

This leaves the question of why Australia in particular is being targeted. One plausible answer is that they are targeting this country because our government is so closely tied to the US and its Judeo-Plutocrat ruling class that it cannot call out Israeli interference. If it did, Australia would be expelled from AUKUS and other defence agreements, and find itself economically ruined by American tariffs. In other words, it is a weak target that cannot fight back, and can be used as a warning to other states allied to the US to stay in line on the Israel question. This would explain the AFP’s reluctance to find those responsible for the Adass Israel fire, and the broader refusal of the political class to discuss the attacks in terms of foreign interference.

Motives are one thing, but is there actual evidence that Israel is, a) willing to interfere in Australia’s domestic politics in order to get the outcomes that it wants on free speech and the Palestinian question, and b) using the controversy around the fake terrorist attacks to achieve these goals?

The answer is yes. We know that Israel has the capability to interfere in Australia’s domestic politics because it has already done so openly on several occasions in the past year, at the highest level. What’s more, in each case the Israeli Government has directly linked the issue of the fake terrorist attacks to the Australian government’s position on Gaza and the free speech rights of Australians.

On December 6, pro-Zionist newspaper The Australian quoted a source within Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office on the Australian government’s decision to back a UN motion in favour of Palestinian statehood. In a series of extraordinarily candid remarks the source stated that “Australia’s flip-flop is disappointing. Awarding anti-Semitism and terrorism with a state in the heart of the Jewish ancient homeland and cradle of civilisation will invite more terrorism and more anti-Semitic riots at campuses and city centres, including in Australia. It’s a shame that the current Australian government wants to award these savages with a state. Thankfully, our key allies support Israel as we strive for true peace and security.” The statement is notable because it links the Australian government’s position on Palestine with the fake terrorist attacks, and implicitly threatens that more incidents will occur unless the Australian Government changes its foreign policy.

This was not Netanyahu’s only remark connecting the fake terrorist attacks to the Albanese Government’s foreign policy. On December 7 the Israeli Prime Minister himself linked the still unsolved Adass Israel synagogue fire with Albanese’s reluctance to back the Gaza genocide. In a post on X Netanyahu said of the attack: “Unfortunately, this criminal act cannot be separated from the anti-Israel spirit blowing from the Labor government in Australia.”

Senior Israeli Government officials have also attempted to interfere in Australian politics by linking the fake terror attacks to Australians having political rights. In an interview with the ABC in January Israel’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel said of the fake terror plots: “Obviously the attitude of the current Australian government towards Israel is inflaming a lot of these emotions and giving, I guess, some acceptance when you do not fight it.  Words are not enough, we’ve passed that long time ago, words are not enough. The Jewish community needs actions, and only through that, through deterrence, through investigation, prosecution – you have to fight it.”

Interestingly, when pressed about who could be funding and directing the attacks from overseas, Haskel immediately attempted to shut down the line of questioning and then shift blame to Iran: “I won’t be surprised if that’s the case, but I don’t think all of them [the attacks] can be attributed just to that. The fight against anti-Semitism never stops. We know that Iran is operating in different ways around the world … and we have seen cases like that also in France and the United States and in other places. I think it should be investigated, but it should have started a year back.”

Before closing the interview Haskel attempted to link the attacks again to Australia’s voting record on pro-Palestine motions at the UN: “Australia has a certain record on these votes, it actually turned its votes on that specific one which every year are being brought at the United Nations. It’s a change of attitude. Do we care about it? Of course. What we’ve experienced here during the last year is Israel’s hardest time … we expected one of our best allies, a very historical long-term friend to actually support us and they turned their back.”

Once again senior Israeli officials directly linked the fake terror plots to Australia’s foreign policy and demands that the country crack down on critics of Jews and Israel.

Haskel had made similar remarks during a visit by Australia’s Jewish Attorney General Mark Dreyfus to Israel earlier that month. On X Haskel posted that there was “disappointment with the shift in the Australian government’s attitude towards Israel. I emphasised our deep concern regarding the shocking rise in anti-Semitism in Australia and the clearly ineffectual response from the Australian government and state governments. There is no doubt this has been caused in part by the Australian government’s ongoing campaign against Israel. I expressed my expectation and hope that Australia’s policy towards Israel will return to reflecting our longstanding relations based on shared values and interests”.

To my mind, the evidence is overwhelming. If I am correct, Israel is conducting the largest foreign influence operation in Australian history, and the Australian government is playing along with it.

It refuses to call out the subversion of Australian democracy by Israel because it is fearful of the reaction of the Judeo-American establishment if it were to do so.

Instead, it has shamefully decided to conspire with a hostile foreign power to steal the political rights of Australian citizens, and to assist that rogue state with conducting the worst genocide of the 21st century.

This should be a national scandal of the highest proportions, and its further evidence of the utter moral decrepitude of Australia’s ruling class.

The sooner we can democratically remove them from power, the better. Our country deserves to be more than the helpless plaything of international powers.
