Three teenagers stabbed in fight at Melbourne shopping centre – six arrested

Three teenage males have been stabbed and six arrested at the scene after a terrifying brawl at Westfield Doncaster in Melbourne’s east.

The violence erupted near a McDonald’s in the shopping centre food court at about 5.30pm on Friday.

Video obtained by Noticer News shows hooded and masked males lunging at each other while other shoppers scream and security guards desperately try to stop the violence.

The ethnicities of the teenagers are unclear from the video, but they do not appear to be White Australians.

Victoria Police said they were called to the scene after reports of a fight between groups of youths and on arrival officers found three boys suffering knife wounds.

“One of the youths had suffered a suspected stab wound to the upper body, another had a laceration to the back and the third a laceration to the arm,” police said in a statement.

Two were taken to Royal Children’s Hospital in serious but stable conditions, while the other was taken to Box Hill Hospital in a stable condition.

Chief Commissioner Shane Patton said on Saturday that five teens had been charged with offences including assault, affray and robbery. Three have been granted bail, two were remanded in custody, and another is yet to be interviewed.

The incident comes just two weeks after 16-year-old Oscar Hamilton was allegedly stabbed to death in an unrelated incident at Melbourne’s Woodgrove Shopping Centre, which is notorious for African gang violence.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder over his death.
