We’ve spent the last month or so covering One Nation’s ongoing Parmindergate scandal in Western Australia, where the so-called right-wing party is running an Indian nationalist candidate in Parminder Singh. Two MPs, including WA’s Ben Dawkins, have quit the party and the ensuing backlash has potentially consigned One Nation to the scrap heap where they basically belong.
Then this week Labor strategist Kos Samaras was busy gloating that 1 in 9 people in Melbourne are now Indian, because apparently that’s what we all wanted:
One in 27 Australians are of Indian heritage, but the numbers are even more striking in Victoria (1 in 12) and Melbourne (1 in 9).
It’s no wonder the Australia-India cricket series has been a massive success. In fact, ahead of the series, Australian newspapers even promoted it…

In response, WA Liberal Party State President and Sky News contributor Caroline Di Russo made this admission for the next state election in March:
“[Indians] are a natural fit for the Liberal Party – for our state election in March, we have six Indian-Australian candidates and one Bangladeshi-Australian candidate,” she gushed.

Yes, it’s true. You can scroll through their candidates here.
Just last year, the WA Liberals were bragging about their all girlboss leadership group:
“The WA Liberal Party today elected Caroline Di Russo as its State President.
Together with State Leader Libby Mettam, and WA Federal Leader Michaelia Cash, this is an historic first all-women leadership team for the Party.
“I thank the Party for endorsing me as its State President”, Miss Di Russo said.
“I look forward to closely working with Libby Mettam and Michaelia Cash as we prepare for the 2025 State and Federal elections.
“We have plenty of work to do – but I know we have a great leadership team in place ready to build a better future for Western Australia.
“Our timeless Liberal values remain fit for purpose. They’re the answer to many of the challenges we must face as a country, and the key to unlocking the enormous potential of our great State and the people within it.”
The results are inevitable.
Just like Victoria there is basically no opposition in WA, as they were completely annihilated at the last state election when WA was infatuated with “State Daddy” Mark McGowan during COVID. The Team Blue side of the Uniparty only has 7 members in the entire legislative chamber.
This is also the state that produced Afghan immigrant Fatima Payman, who has since split from the ALP, flirted with the “Muslim vote” movement, and then launched her own party.
All that’s going to happen here is what usually happens – the Indian diaspora will want their own ethnic self-interest put before everyone else. Before you know it, you’ll have the Libs honouring requests for Diwali as a public holiday and open-air funeral pyres in Kings Park as ‘culturally relevant.’
Auspill summed it up nicely:
Has Kos and RedBridge not taken into account that, like the Muslims, Indians will eventually reach a critical mass and depart from Labor to build their own party?

The same will apply for the LNP.
The complete inability to read the tea leaves from the Liberals, especially with everything happening with this demographic on the East Coast and in Canada, is par for the course but seriously, imagine still being a supporter of this party and whatever it’s “liberal values” even mean in 2025?
If you want Perth and the Swan River to turn into Mumbai and the Ganges go for it, it’s an absolute political masterstroke:
Really?
They took back control of their country from the English 75 years ago and turned it into a literal shit-hole.
Now they want to come to Australia?
No thanks.
They should clean up their own backyard first. pic.twitter.com/E9QhLrxS3u— MullockHeap (@MullockHeap) December 31, 2024
All this does is just highlight the need to annihilate the Liberal Party and consign them to the dustbin of political history, because all they seem to care about “conserving” at this point are insane house prices, open borders and Israel.
