Victoria Police are under fire for delivering groceries to an immigrant driver under investigation over a crash which left an 11-year-old boy dead and four other children seriously injured in Melbourne last month.
Photos taken by Daily Mail Australia show an overweight female Victoria Police inspector wearing a homosexual “pride” lanyard and another female officer carrying Coles shopping bags into the Hawthorn East home of the driver on Friday morning.

The woman, 40, who has a provisional driving licence, had just collected her own child from Auburn South Primary School on October 29 when she crashed through a fence and into a group of Year 5 students sitting on a bench. Jack Davey, 11, was killed, and two 11-year-old girls, and a 10-year-old boy and girl are still in hospital.
Charges are yet to be laid against the woman, who Noticer News understands is an immigrant from the Middle East, and police told Daily Mail Australia the investigation was ongoing and that officers “continue to support the welfare of those involved”.
But the photos of the shopping drop-off sparked outrage online, with many asking why the police needed to deliver food when supermarkets have online ordering and home delivery services, and others questioning the use of police resources during a staffing and recruitment crisis.
“Our police force are a joke – seen delivering groceries to the woman that killed the little boy … while wearing rainbow lanyards,” one woman said.
“It took two of them? This could only occur in Victoria with its woke and militant police force,” read another comment.
“How do you get to be on your P plates when you are 40?” asked another.
“I’m disgusted by Police delivering groceries – supermarkets employ people to do that – she is not the victim!”
“This is not the role of Victoria Police, how can you be impartial, while investigating, if you are making friends with the perpetrator. It’s disgusting, but what we have come to expect from Vic Pol – hang your heads, you are falling well short of what is expected of you by the people who pay your wages, the taxpayer,” said another.
Police said the driver, who was arrested and released after the crash and has been in hiding ever since, was attempting a U-turn before veering off the road and crashing through the fence, and that the investigation could take weeks or months.
She had just attended a two-hour meeting at the school with her child
“It appears it is a tragic accident,” Inspector Craig McEvoy said at the time.
Jack’s father spoke out last week to thank the community for their support, but some close to the family are furious charges have not been laid.
“The system is fucked,” said the father of one of Jack’s friends.
