A Syrian immigrant who viciously stabbed a little girl in the stomach four times in a random attack in a German supermarket will not spend a day in jail.
Mohamed S, 35, was this week sentenced in the Ravensburg Regional Court to life in a psychiatric hospital by Judge Veiko Böhm, who used his judgement to accuse right-wing political party AfD of trying to exploit the attempted murder, which took place in the southern city of Wangen im Allgau in April.
Judge Böhm said it was “difficult to bear” that an AfD parliamentary group had made inquiries about the case, and claimed it was just as likely for a local Swabian to have carried out the attack, even though there have been no such incidents and many Muslim immigrant stabbings targeting children across Europe.
“The knife attack has nothing to do with Islamist radicalism, it is solely the result of a mental illness,” the judge said.
Mohamed fled Syria in 2015 and entered Europe illegally before being granted asylum in the Netherlands, where he eventually gained Dutch citizenship. In 2022 he moved to Saudi Arabia but was jailed and deported back to Europe. He then travelled to Wangen where he lived in homeless shelters and an asylum center, RMX reported.
The murder of 3 young British victims (9, 7, and 6) is not an isolated incident.
Immigration is leading to brutal and random attacks targeting children in many cases across Europe.

His horrific attack on the innocent four-year-old girl took place at a Norma store where he thrust the knife into her stomach with “four powerful stabs” before fleeing the scene.
The girl required emergency surgery.
AfD Deputy Leader Beatrix von Storch spoke out after the stabbing to condemn the attack, saying: “Even in formerly tranquil regions, internal security is collapsing and no one is safe anymore.”
The jury convicted Mohammed of attempted murder, the charge sought by the public prosecutor.
But the public prosecutor also recommended psychiatric care, saying the Syrian suffered from “paranoid schizophrenia in an acute phase”, was extremely dangerous, and that she doubted he had the capacity for empathy.
“There is no sign of any improvement in the man, and there is still a risk that he will commit serious crimes,” she said.
The sentence is final and cannot be appealed.
