There was a huge story this Australia Day that has so far gone almost completely unreported – the dramatic fall in attendance at the left-wing anti-Australia protests which have become a yearly annoyance in our major cities.
According to Victoria Police, Melbourne’s “invasion day” march shrunk by 10,000 people to 25,000 this year, a fall of about 30%.
In Sydney the situation was even worse for the dysgenic Australia haters – crowds were down from 15,000 in 2024 to 8,000 this year.
And protests in Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Canberra were so small they barely rated a mention on the news.
This was despite organisers trying to tap into “free Palestine” sentiment for the second year in a row, and no change in favourable corporate and state media coverage, which has in recent years consistently portrayed far-left extremists calling for Australia to be abolished as preferable to flag-waving patriots.
The major TV channels and newspapers did the same again this year, giving sympathetic interviews to militant aboriginal activists while smearing pro-Australia Day organisers and refusing to give them airtime.
These anti-Australian rallies, where violent and antiwhite signs and banners are ignored by police, also have the support of an ecosystem of taxpayer-funded NGOs, aboriginal land councils, woke government departments, woke corporations, the entire university system, and much of the public and private school systems.

They are supported by state governments and city councils who give them permits and police protection, and cancel or refuse to organise events for normal Australians, who end taking their flags to quiet family barbecues in local parks instead.
A poll last week showed that only 24% of Australians want to change the date of Australia Day, yet there are no state-sponsored and media-approved events for the remaining 76%.
But despite the relentless propaganda, it’s obvious that the silent majority of normal, politically neutral Aussies have simply had enough of the left.
The spell is broken, and the neutrals are about to swing right in large numbers, due to the following types of fatigue:
Aboriginal Fatigue
Normal Aussies are sick of being welcomed to their own country, sick of being told that land that now belongs to everyone should be given to a bunch of white-skinned professional victim aboriginals, sick of their taxes going to the aboriginal industrial complex, sick of aboriginal crime.
And even though they voted NO to giving a bunch of tax-fattened aboriginal bureaucrats extraordinary new parliamentary powers, the same old nonsense continues, and it’s wearing thin.
They just want aboriginals to leave them alone.
Palestine Fatigue
Normal Aussies don’t care about Israel or Palestine, but they especially dislike seeing Palestinian flags all over their cities, and they haven’t forgotten decades of Islamic terror, Lebanese gang rapes, and Middle Eastern crime.
They don’t like seeing women in headscarfs or gangs of Middle Eastern thugs roaming the streets. They never voted for any of that, and never wanted Muslims here in the first place.
They are sick of hearing about it, and they don’t want to join some rabid aboriginal-Palestine coalition, so they are staying away from the protests. They will likely stay away from associated candidates at the ballot box later this year also.
And a note to the major parties, conservatives and Sky News – normal Aussies don’t care about Israel or anti-Semitism either, so if you keep throwing millions at it and shoving it down people’s throats Israel Fatigue will be on this list by this time next year.
Climate Fatigue
Normal Aussies love the environment and want to protect it, but they also realise that climate change hysteria is overblown, and don’t want to pay exorbitant prices for electricity and suffer from third world-style blackouts while China and India build thousands of coal-fired power plants.
The climate alarmists have been wrong about everything (the dams are full, permanent droughts didn’t happen, no bushfires for five years, the Great Barrier Reef is still there, the sea levels aren’t rising, etc), they have no solutions, and even if they did it wouldn’t make a difference.
Australia could vanish tomorrow and the impact of global emissions would be unnoticeable, and everyone knows it now, whether they say it out loud or not.
With the exception of the ultra-rich and the ultra-left in the inner cities, no-one cares about climate change, and it’s driving people to the right.
LGBT Fatigue
Normal Aussies held their noses and voted 60/40 for homosexuals to get married in 2017, mainly because they were told it was the “right thing to do”, they thought it didn’t affect them, and they wanted the crazy gays to be quiet.
Instead they got even more rainbow flags and pride events, monkeypox outbreaks, and transgender insanity.
Everyone knows deep inside that you can’t change sexes, and people are sick of pretending that they can.
The left is indelibly associated with the most insane movement of the 21st century, and they are paying for it.
Indian Fatigue
Normal Aussies want to live in Australia. They were fine with the odd Indian, the occasional curry, and some Indian/Pakistani/Sri Lankan fans turning up at the cricket.
But no-one voted for one million Indians living here, the trains looking more like Mumbai than Melbourne, and whole suburbs being completely dominated by them, not to mention the hundreds of thousands of Nepalese, Pakistanis, Sri Lankans and Bangladeshis.
People are sick of mass immigration in general – there has never been a poll showing a majority of Australians want more immigration – but Indians are the last straw for a lot of the neutrals, followed by Muslims, Africans and Chinese.
PC Fatigue
Normal Aussies want to be able to speak freely without being lectured and told off. They want to laugh at funny jokes, make funny jokes, and comment on the state of the world.
They’re sick of being cancelled, or having their favourite people get cancelled.
They’re sick of leftist propaganda being inserted into everything, from movies, to TV, to sport, to comedy, and anything else that is fun.
The left is anti-fun, anti-humour, anti-creativity, and it’s putting people off.
Leftism Fatigue
In the mind of the average Aussie, all of these factors are synonymous with the left, and rightly so – leftists can’t suddenly U-turn on any of them, and their only hope is too accelerate mass immigration in the hopes that their newly imported voter base will outnumber White Australians so it won’t matter.
It remains to be seen how this will play out, but this Australia Day shows that leftism is freefall, and the right should capitalise before they can regroup, which if they are smart will mean economic populism while winding back crazy social progressivism (spoiler alert – they won’t be able to pivot).
We should sit back and enjoy watching the left implode further in the coming months and years, but we should never forget what they’ve done, and when we win, show no mercy.
