A revolting feud between two immigrant families in south-west Sydney has been exposed with both sides making accusations of sickening harassment and abuse.
The Muslim and Fijian Hindu families were once neighbours in the suburb of Minto, but their year-long dispute has continued even after the Hindus moved to another suburb.
In a video posted to social media this week, the Hindu family accused a Muslim mother and her two adult children of throwing hot water at them, smearing human faeces on their mailbox, putting a used tampon on a religious “shrine” by their door, and sending racist messages, Daily Mail Australia reported.
A message allegedly sent to the Fijian Hindu family read: “No-one will believe you when we make your life hell. Kafir. Dirty Hindu ugly man.
“Maybe next time don’t pray to disgusting idols. Someone might do something worse.
“Hindus are not human and I will keep reminding you until the day you DIE”.
The Fijian family also accused their Muslim neighbours of calling the police and claiming the Hindu dad was pointing a gun at them, causing him to be forced to lie on the ground while officers investigated.
In a video of the incident one of the man’s daughters can be heard complaining about the police response before being told by a female officer: “We have to investigate it, okay? Like you guys reported that they put shit on your door.”
The family also objected to the police telling them to “stop calling” and recommending that they move house.
But the Muslim family have also hit out on social media in videos of their own, claiming the Hindus had also put faeces in their mailbox, smashed a car window, threw water at them and harassed them for six months after moving away from their unit block.
They claim to have taken out restraining orders against the Indian family.
