If you’ve missed the news this past week, the NSW Council elections were held and the Libertarian Party were the story of the day, picking up an estimated 15 seats.
The week before, NSW MLC John Ruddick was in the media talking about how Australia needs an immigration pause for five years and an overhaul of our migration system.
Sounds good? Saying all the right things?
Well, I think John and the Libertarian Party are quite frankly full of shit on immigration reform.
Just the very next week, Ruddick opined in the Daily Telegraph and on ABC Radio with James Valentine about the need to approve every planning application and infill Sydney’s eastern suburbs with high rise apartments. It was the first time I’ve agreed with an ABC journo in my life.
In short, Ruddick claimed he literally wanted to turn Sydney into New York City because housing crisis and muh supply.
And if you don’t like the fact that I’m going to build a 20 storey high-rise filled with Indians next door to you? Ruddick says too bad, that’s part and parcel of living in a big city and you can piss off and live in a regional town with no jobs and infrastructure.
I’ve heard that part and parcel that line before about violent crime, terrorism and multiculturalism and diversity.
Any opposition to planning reform is “soft communism”, which is just the right-wing version of calling everyone a Nazi. I’m sure if a Meriton Sky Kennel or a Mosque/Sikh Temple went up next to Ruddick’s house on the north shore, he’d be fronting the council the next day for a please explain.
It took less than a week into a conversation about immigration and gaining a political foothold for the Libertarian Party to out themselves publicly as Big Australia stooges. The truth is they’ve always been from the old LDP days, in the name of muh economic growth and free market.
Unfortunately, there is a growing subset of the political right that thinks the Libertarian Party are the saviours of Australia and the next opposition. I vehemently disagree, and nothing could be further from the truth.
Opposing the Misinformation Bill is to be applauded, as no other party seems to be doing this. They’ve been the only party going in to bat for gun owners, but much of that has subsided since David Leyonhjelm has gone. They’re also active at the state level in opposing gender transitions for children. However, they’ve supported the rainbow crowd’s slippery slope degeneracy for years, so what do they expect? It’s a diamond in a turd and completely useless in the face of 2,000 migrants a day invading the country through the front door which is the political issue of the day.
There’s also John’s relationship with ultra-Zionist Dr David Adler from the Australian Jewish Association – an Israel lobby group that cares about Israel and Israel only. Red flags going off again.
Absolutely no-one is asking for Sydney to resemble NYC – a low-trust, cosmopolitan, high crime shithole where a handful of super rich live with a slave underclass that commutes in from New Jersey to service them. Rents and property prices are astronomically high, and only those in the finance sector and related industries can really afford to reside there.
I’d suspect John has received the call from the real NSW Premier for the last 40 years, Harry Triguboff, because no-one other than developers stands to gain from this. Why do you think no-one wants to live in the west and everyone wants to live in the east?
Further, none of this so-called housing demand is being driven by Australian citizens – it’s from migrants. The same migrants the private sector John eschews continually lobbies for 24/7, 365 and not a second less.
The ABS statistics released this week that announced Australia crossing the 27.1 million mark, also clearly showed 83% of population growth is from immigration and that 30,000 people a quarter are fleeing NSW.
So in other words, John favours servicing the housing needs of migrants over those of locals. His whole proposal to YIMBYify Sydney falls over when the demand is being completely driven by foreigners.
His response? Eat shit, free market, live in a dogbox or leave to make way for China and India.
The too long, didn’t read takeaway from this is I do not trust the Libertarian Party at all on immigration – they have always been Big Australia stooges who view the country as an economic zone to be asset stripped and commodified, even more so than the current uniparty set-up. They worship the same liberalism that has led us to the inevitable Weimar Republic 2.0 conditions on steroids.
Yet another political entity promising to cut immigration and then doing exactly the opposite.
I think the ruling class have identified that the public is sick of the uniparty and that Pauline Hanson has been acting as nothing more than a nationalist gatekeeper, similar to Nigel Farage outing himself as such this week. So, Libertarian Party push and funding it is – paging Anthony Pratt.
Any right-of-centre party that is not offering mass deportations and remigration at this point is a waste of time and not serious in the face of a demographic disaster currently unfolding at record speed.
You’re not going to vote your way out of the invasion of Australia and you certainly aren’t going to non-aggression principle your way out of it either.
Start the clock on Peter Tulip becoming a Libertarian Party candidate.
