The California coastline has been under siege by smugglers and illegal aliens during the Biden border invasion, and local authorities in the sanctuary state are effectively powerless to stop them.
“We’re getting three or four boats per week that are just being abandoned, just driven right up onto our beaches,” San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond told Border Hawk in a recent interview.
“You get about a dozen people who jump out of them and run up into the neighborhoods, unabated.”
“Unfortunately, in the state of California, we’re a sanctuary state, which means many different things. Primarily, when it comes to people just being dropped off in boats, our local law enforcement can’t do anything about it.”

In many cases, illegals run from vessels to waiting vehicles that whisk them deeper into the interior.
In addition to rampant maritime incursions, more than 155,000 illegals were released into the county by federal authorities between September of 2023 and June of 2024.
“Border Patrol was overwhelmed, so what they were doing was just dropping off the healthy adults, age 18 to 35, here in San Diego County. They were predominantly about 80% male,” Desmond explained.
“Border Patrol was dropping them off and saying, ‘See you later. You’re on your own.’”
San Diego County also experienced a massive influx of ‘Special Interest Aliens’ (SIA) under the Biden regime, with more than 80% of all SIA apprehensions during Fiscal Year 2024 taking place in Border Patrol’s San Diego Sector.
“We’re letting people in and we don’t even know who they are, what their background is, or if they mean us harm or not,” Desmond asserted.
“On 9/11, there was only about two dozen people that pulled that off – we get that in boats just coming across and landing onto our beaches, so it’s absolutely a security failure.”
