The Family First Party, which presents itself as socially conservative and Christian, has disendorsed one of its Queensland candidates over a series of mild pro-White and anti-LGBT X posts.
Malachi Brogden Hearne, 19, was selected as the Family First candidate for Longman, north of Brisbane, but on Saturday received an email telling him the party would no longer endorse him due to his social media activity.
The posts that led to Mr Hearne’s disendorsement include a comment on a news story about two lesbian soccer players who claim to be “expecting a child” which read: “Child abuse. Two women cannot and should not raise children. This is disgusting and they should both be locked up. Lesbianism is disgusting”.
The other comments that offended Family First included “White people need to start breeding like rabbits” on a video about mass immigration, “Built solely by White Christian men” on a post by Senator Matt Canavan about what a great country Australia is, and “At least they’re White” on a story about South Australia Police recruiting foreigners.

Mr Hearne told Noticer News he had previously been asked by the party to take down X posts calling homosexuality degenerate and stating that LGBT blasphemy of Jesus should be illegal that he believed were in line with the party’s values.
“I was disendorsed for espousing Christian principles”, said Mr Hearne, who is now running as an independent.
“I say White Christian men built Australia, and Christians take umbrage to that.”
“Apparently supporting Israel ethnic cleansing in Gaza is acceptable, but being pro-White is not. How can Family First, an alleged Christian party … object to pro-Australia, pro-Christian rhetoric?”
On its website Family First states it is devoted to “restoring the primacy of the family in public policy” by creating a grassroots party that “raises courageous voices in our nation’s parliaments”, and claims to oppose same-sex marriage and parenting.
“Family First advocates democratically for the promotion of marriage between one man and one woman for the good of any children they conceive or adopt,” the website states.
“Family First contends that healthy families make for healthy communities which in turn make a nation strong and vibrant. Citizens should be free to discuss the ideal model of family and advocate for it without fear.
“Pressure to be silent on these matters has made Family First even more determined to engage the political fray.”
Noticer News contacted Family First for comment.
Mr Hearne’s disendorsement comes after the Liberal Party sparked fury from its own voters by dumping military veteran Benjamin Britton as its candidate for Whitlam in NSW for saying women should not serve in combat roles.
Mr Britton is also running as an independent.
