Melbourne ‘LGBTQIA+ finance brokerage’ offers loans for ‘sex change’ surgeries

Australia is now home to a gay finance company that offers loans for so-called gender-affirming surgery and was founded by a homosexual man who says “having a baby” is his “big financial goal”.

Barbra Borrowing launched in late November and advertises itself as “Australia’s first LGBTQIA+ finance brokerage”, saying that it puts “BIG LOVE into borrowing” in posters plastered on walls in various suburbs across Melbourne.

Based in the Victorian capital, the company provides a range of financial services for homosexuals, including car and home loans, and debt consolidation for amounts from $5,000 to $500,000.

Barbra further promises that it will “plant three trees for every loan settled” and put a portion of its profits “will go directly back into the LGBTQIA+ community”, and appears to be the brainchild of two men known only as Ben and Brad.

According to the company’s website, founder and senior loan writer, Ben, has a decade’s worth of experience in the finance industry, “love[s] teaching others” about finance, and is “passionate about bringing this enthusiasm to the LGBTQIA+ community”.

“I believe the industry needs more happiness, colour and more importantly… LOVE, and I’m dedicated to fostering an inclusive and vibrant environment,” he says in his bio.

Operations manager Brad has more than a decade’s worth of experience in creative and production roles, within which he has “done a bit of everything”.

Barbra’s borrowing recommendations are focused on “LGBT” concerns, and the company says on its website that it offers personal loans of up to $100,000 for choices such as “gender-affirming surgery, that critical-wardrobe-update shop in Paris, a new jacuzzi, or an unexpected anything”.

The website also states that it provides loans for “starting a family or business”, and Ben states on Barbra’s Instagram page that his own “big financial goal” is to “have a baby”.

“Surrogacy will need to happen overseas, so we know it will be expensive. But.. Worth every cent!” he says in an introductory post.

The launch of Barbra comes amid a global pushback against radical “LGBT” ideology.

In the UK, providing puberty blockers to adolescents is now illegal, with the government indefinitely banning new prescriptions of puberty blockers for minors with gender dysphoria, which followed the closure of the controversial Tavistock gender clinic earlier this year.

In the United States, the Supreme Court is likely to uphold a ban on puberty blockers and other aspects of so-called gender-affirming care for minors in the state of Tennessee.

President-elect Donald Trump has also vowed that his administration will recognise “only two genders, male and female”, and that he will “end ‘transgender lunacy’ on the first day of his presidency”.

And in Australia corporate sponsors have pulled out of a number of homosexual events in country towns in recent months.
