Police are looking for a man of Indian subcontinental appearance after a woman was sexually assaulted on a Melbourne bus.
Tuesday Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the attack, which took place in Dandenong last month.
The 37-year-old woman was travelling on a Route 811 bus between Dandenong Railway Station and Brighton at 6.30am on February 17 when she was sexually assaulted, Victoria Police said.
Police were told the male offender got on at Dandenong Railway Station, and was last seen getting off the bus on the corner of Ivy Street and Lower Dandenong Road.
On Tuesday police released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
“He is perceived to be Indian/Sri Lankan/Pakistani in appearance, of thin build with short dark hair,” police said.
“The man was wearing glasses and a red T-shirt.”
