Cruel Asian women abandon their sick puppy in a stranger’s front yard in Sydney

A pair of heartless women have been caught dumping their dog in a stranger’s front yard in Sydney.

CCTV footage obtained by 7 News shows two women of Asian appearance lifting Million, a 12-month-old Maltese Shih Tzu, over the fence of a home in Zetland, before leaving the puppy behind with a bag of food and a note.

Resident David Wiles said he and his wife, who were already dog owners, said they heard a whimper and came outside to find Million tied to the gate.

“The note basically said they really care for the dog but can’t take care of it anymore,” Mr Wiles said, who has formally agreed with the breeder to foster Million.

To make matters worse, after finding the puppy Mr Wiles took him to the vet and discovered he had a cancerous growth in his leg and a hernia.

A pet adoption agency Mr Wiles has connected with is now funding life-saving surgery for Million this weekend.

Mr Wiles said anyone considering buying a puppy should be aware that pet ownership is a lot of work.

“These guys aren’t toys,” he said.

The RSPCA is investigating the incident, and the maximum penalty for abandoning pets is six month in jail.
