Fury at two-tier responses to terror attacks against Melbourne synagogue and nationalist’s home

A leading figure in Australian nationalism has slammed the police, corporate media and government for their “two-tier” treatment of a suspected terror attack on a Melbourne synagogue, and the firebombing of his car and home by left-wing terrorists.

Werribee father and former gym owner Tim Lutze told Noticer News on Sunday there was a glaring contrast between the days of sympathetic wall-to-wall media coverage devoted to the arson attack on Ripponlea’s Adass Israel Synagogue on Friday, and the hostile articles written after he was targeted on Christmas Eve last year.

“The two-tier response from the media, Premier, the police and the Prime Minister between the firebombing of my home and the synagogue should prove to every White Australian that Jews have a disproportionate amount of control over our nation,” said Mr Lutze, who is a member of right-wing activist group the National Socialist Network.

“As far as I’m aware not a single politician commented on the attack on my family, and police did not collect physical evidence including unexploded molotov cocktails on my lawn and in my driveway, and did not take any photos.”

Mr Lutze on Saturday shared an image of a Herald Sun article with the inflammatory headline “Neo-Nazi Tim Lutze runs to police after family car torched outside Werribee home” about the left-wing terror attack that left his pregnant wife’s Holden Commodore burnt out and nearly spread to his house.

“Jews run to police after synagogue torched,” he wrote to highlight the discrepancy in reporting on the two politically motivated firebombings.

Victoria Police said at the time they were seeking a number of offenders who threw one molotov cocktail into the car window and two more at Mr Lutze’s home that failed to ignite, but no arrests were ever made.

Mr Lutze said the unexploded firebombs were left outside in the rain and never examined by police, who rang his wife on December 3 to tell them they were closing the case as unsolved.

The attack on the synagogue is being investigated by specialist teams of police including the arson and explosives squad and the Counter Terrorism Command’s Security Investigation Unit.

The firebombing has been addressed by Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan, Opposition leader Peter Dutton, and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who on Sunday said he viewed it as an act of terrorism, and committed an additional $32.5 million to fund security measures for the Jewish community on top of an existing $25 million fund.

The Victorian government pledged $100,000 to rebuild the site, and an online fundraising campaign has already gathered almost $300,000 in donations.

Former treasurer Josh Frydenberg, who is Jewish, wrote a letter to Mr Albanese on Saturday demanding a national police taskforce to curb anti-Semitism, a judicial inquiry into alleged anti-Semitism in the education system.

Mr Frydenberg joined Mr Dutton is accusing Mr Albanese and Ms Allan of making the Jewish community “less safe” and said to the Premier: “This happened on your watch, responsibility rests at your door”.

But independent NSW senator and former federal Labor leader Mark Latham hit back at critics of Mr Albanese, and pointed out that the police investigation has not been completed.

“The media narrative today, hysterically blaming Albanese directly for the fire at the Melbourne synagogue is NUTS. I disagree with Bob Carr on Middle Eastern policy but his point about the strength of the Israel lobby seems accurate. Does anyone even know who did it and why?” he wrote on X.

“Always remember, with its inexorable decline commercially, MSM will do anything for money, allowing companies, advertisers, sponsors of content, anyone who gives them money to influence editorial content. Cash for comment used to be a scandal. Now it’s a way of life for MSM.”

St Pauls Anglican Church goes up in flames on November 28

Articles on the synagogue attack dominated newspaper front pages this weekend, but many Australians asked why the torching of an Anglican church near Geelong in late November was almost entirely ignored by the media.

“St Paul’s Anglican Church firebombed November 28th, 2024. Nothing from the Federal Government. Nothing from the State Government. No declaration of a hate crime against Christians. No-one calling out the hatred towards Christians. No-one acknowledging Christians are the LARGEST prosecuted group in the world. You know what I here? Double standards and silence,” libertarian political commentator Mickamious wrote in response to Mr Albanese.

The St Leonards church fire – which gutted the century-old building – was only covered by the local newspaper the Geelong Advertiser, and Nine News.
