Residents of a suburb on Melbourne’s western outskirts are fuming after Indians left piles of boxes containing expired curry sauce outside a charity bin.
An image of the illegal act was shared to a community group in Moorabool Shire, showing dozens of boxes of out-of-date Tata Raasa curries piled up next to the bin alongside bags of donated clothes.
The boxes were dumped directly in front of a sign saying “recycled clothing only” and warning that it is an offence under the Environmental Protection Act to leave other items there, punishable by fines of up to $5,640.
Locals condemned the perpetrators, and the person who posted the photo said the charity will now to have pay to have the curries disposed of properly.
“[Will] be the same type of scab that does your yard clean-up cheap, then goes and dumps the rubbish at the side of a quiet road,” said one man.
“Yes, we know who you are, we’re not interested in you turning our country into the shithole dump you came from where that is the norm.”
“Wow, out of date curry. Why don’t they just throw in bin or take to tip,” asked a local who suggesting investigating local businesses.
“What a disgrace. Probably spoiled due to incorrect storage and didn’t want to pay to dispose of it. Great way to make it look more like a ghetto,” wrote another.
“Welcome to Tarneit,” wrote one woman along with an Indian flag emoji and a gif of an Indian doing a head wobble, to which another responded: “I moved here to get away, lol”.
Others wrote “absolutely disgusting” and “lazy selfish humans”, while another joked “even Indians don’t want their own food.
