The New York Police Department declared a Level 3 mobilization to mitigate a “large, unruly crowd” after a number of officers were dispatched to the scene, the New York Post reports.
“Brothers Josue and Moises Delon, 19 and 27, respectively, were arrested in connection to the stabbing and hit with assault charges, the NYPD said.”
Information collected by the Citizen app indicates a total of four suspects were detained, including an 18-year-old male.
The Randall’s Island facility has been the scene of ongoing violence since it was opened in August of 2023.
In January, an illegal alien was arrested for stabbing a 24-year-old man to death during a dispute over a woman at the shelter.
