A manhunt is underway for two brothers of Indian descent after a stabbing in Melbourne early on Sunday morning left one man dead and another injured.
Victoria Police released images of Abhijeet Abhijeet, 26, and Robin Gartan, 27, on Monday, who are believed to be travelling in a stolen Toyota Camry.
Homicide detectives said the pair were last seen in the Ormond area in the early hours of May 5, near a property where emergency services found two men suffering from stab wounds at 1am.
One man, 30, from Noble Park died at the scene, another, 22, from the same suburb was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, and two others fled the scene, police said.
Police believe the men were all known to each other.
Both Abhijeet and Gartan are described as being 170cm tall with solid builds and black hair, and may be driving a stolen 2014 white Toyota Camry sedan with registration 1ZO 2QW.
“What investigators have gathered so far is that late afternoon to early evening on Saturday, there was party or gathering of four men, including the two suspects,” Homicide Squad Detective Inspector Dean Thomas said.
