Headline: Detectives are looking for a suspected sex creep accused of filming a naked child
Summary: Victoria Police on Tuesday put out a media release about a man of Indian appearance who allegedly stuck his mobile phone under a public shower cubicle and filmed a naked five-year-old girl, describing him as “of Indian Sub-Continental appearance, approximately 30-years-old, with a medium build, black hair and olive skin”. Bear in mind this is from a department which in 2018 stopped including nationality information in its crime statistics because it was making Africans look bad – if they didn’t have to mention the suspect’s ethnicity, they wouldn’t.
7 News covered the story in their evening TV bulletin, but as the left-wing corporate press almost always do, they decided to leave out the most important details about the suspect’s appearance – his ethnicity and skin colour. Better to let an alleged paedophile roam the streets than risk being called racist.
Key quote: “Detectives have released images of the suspect they would like to speak to. He’s believed to be around 30 years old, on the day he was wearing a black hoodie, grey trackpants and slides”
Subtext: “Nothing to see here, just a sex crime by a random man, keep that Indian immigration coming”
